Dry times may vary based on air temperature and humidity levels. As a rapid-drying paint, here’s a general guideline (from Dulux): at 25°C with 50% humidity, the paint will be touch dry in 5 minutes, non pull-up in 10 minutes, and fully cured after 7 days. In most weather conditions, the paint is suitable for driving on after just 1 hour. However, we recommend allowing as much time as possible for optimal results.
Performed Thermoplastic
Achieving durable road markings involves laying pre-made hard thermoplastic material in the correct position, followed by heating it using a propane torch. This process ensures the material melts into the bitumen, setting hard once cooled. Thermoplastic road marking is an exceptionally resilient method, making it ideal for high-traffic areas due to its prolonged durability, surpassing that of traditional paint. Additionally, the dry time for thermoplastic is notably quicker, ranging from 5 to 15 minutes for a secure and efficient setting.
